Claire has been a great counsellor help for me in what has been one of my most challenging years yet. She has a very caring and warm presence, and listens intently. She has helped guide me through my emotions following heartbreak, and I am very grateful for her help in the last few months. The Awareness Centre is also always a friendly and calm environment for therapy.
Matt was a patient listener as my therapist encouraging me to process the layers of my personal issues and core beliefs whilst intuitively weaving in thought provoking questions that empowered me to take better control of my life and distorted thinking.
Kind and compassionate I recommend him as a therapist.
My experience with The Awareness Centre, and with my therapist in particular has had a transformatively positive impact on my life. I was provided with the professional and confidential help that I needed to allow me to deal with past issues and grow from them, I believe this will stay with me as I finish my course of therapy and have a great benefit going forward.
The counselling service provided has been simply unexpected at The Awareness Centre, as previously I was losing hope the idea of counselling. This is as I had tried counselling at various other establishments and there was no long lasting effects. My counsellor?I am lost for words as she is empathetic, compassionate, dedicated and regularly goes one step and beyond to ensure I get the best service. Money well spent.
Riana put me at ease from the first consultation and really took time to understand what i wanted to accomplish from our counselling sessions. She has helped me understand my self concept and limiting beliefs that have stemmed from childhood. She provided written resources that I could use to further my understanding of what i was experiencing . We got to grips with how to turn things around with my thought processes. Whilst this is work in progress for me, i am
Definitely more confident within myself and have a better awareness of how to turn my thoughts around when they are negative. Riana has helped me immensely to accept the past for what it is but not let it define who i am today. I have a high regard for her professionalism and expertise in being able to pin point and draw out my thoughts and emotions and my own awareness of how to change them to positive. I have no hesitation in recommending Riana to anyone considering counselling.
The counselling and guidance I received by Joy at the awareness centre has been invaluable and a huge help during a challenging time in my life.
Having been in and out of therapy for many years I found the approach and support to be very helpful and it enabled me to find clarity and the ability to not just face the many challenges in my life but start to deal with them. I am very grateful and would highly recommend Joy to anyone and everyone who would benefit from additional support through therapy. As hard and challenging as it was I always left feeling enlightened and lighter which was a huge lift at a difficult time. I found myself looking forward to the session every week. Thank you Joy.
I brought my 7 year old son for a session with Esmie and it immediately unlocked all his worries. The way she handled him (and me) with care, humour but also practicality meant we went away from the session with both him and me feeling that we’d had a major breakthrough. He asked if he could go back again because he liked her so much!
Sunah has been my therapist for 3-4 months now. I had a great experience working on myself with her. She is very caring and approachable making it easy for me to trust her and share a lot of personal information as i never felt judged. I look forward to every session with her and time flies by during the session. Above all she has helped me stand up for myself and feel more secure in my thoughts and decisions which is something I have struggled with and am still working on. Anyone would be blessed to have her as a therapist and she means a lot to me.
