Clinical Supervision Training. Equivalent to a Level 6
Our Diploma in Clinical Supervision is a part-time clinical supervision training, delivered online over eight weekends. It’s designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists who want to develop the knowledge, skills and confidence to become effective clinical supervisors. A key benefit of studying with The Awareness Centre is access to our optional Clinical Supervision Placement, enabling you to gain the 20 hours of supervision practice required to qualify. As the course is delivered online, we welcome students from across the UK and Ireland, including professionals sponsored by organisations such as hospices, clinics and counselling agencies.

Clinical Supervision Practice & Placements
A key advantage of studying the Diploma in Clinical Supervision at The Awareness Centre is the opportunity to gain your required clinical supervision hours through our dedicated in-house supervision placement programme. To successfully complete the diploma, you will need to accrue 20 hours of supervision practice. Many trainees achieve these hours by providing supervision within their private practice or workplace. However, we recognise that not all students have immediate access to supervisees, which is why we offer a structured supervision placement pathway to support your professional development.
Students can apply to join our Supervision Placement after completing the first three months of the course. This provides a valuable opportunity to work with supervisees in a professional setting, gain practical experience, build confidence as a supervisor, and develop the competencies required for effective clinical supervision.
You will also be required to undertake supervision of supervision throughout your placement and training. Your supervisor will support your development and sign off your clinical practice hours upon successful completion.
Our supervision placement is a significant benefit of training with The Awareness Centre, enabling students to gain meaningful, real-world supervisory experience while working towards their qualification.
Where does the clinical supervision course take place?
Both the Diploma in Clinical Supervision and our Supervision Placement are delivered entirely online. This enables students from all over the UK & Ireland to complete their training and gain their required clinical supervision hours remotely, providing greater flexibility and accessibility gives access to supervisees nationally, regardless of location.
