The Online Diploma in Clinical Supervision is a comprehensive part-time training, over eight weekends, to equip you with the concepts, confidence and skills you need to qualify as a clinical supervisor and align you with the BACP competence framework for supervision.
This clinical supervision training is designed for qualified counsellors and psychotherapists. The course will explore and process the seven-eyed model and cyclical approach to supervision, enabling you to work confidently as a supervisor online, via telephone and face-to-face with individuals and groups.
Our supervision training takes place online and we therefore welcome participants from all over the UK and Ireland. We also welcome participants from organisations who may be sponsoring the course fees fully or partly, such as hospices, clinics and agencies who provide clinical supervision.
The Diploma in Clinical Supervision is led by an excellent team of tutors in the field of counselling and psychotherapy. The lead tutor is Anna Bampou, and our expert visiting tutors are Prof. Windy Dryden, Dr Susie Orbach, and Bonny Allyson.

Our Diploma in Clinical Supervision spans 16 days of learning, practising and reflecting, this makes up 100 guided learning hours. We cover everything a clinical supervisor would need, from key models of supervision and providing effective feedback to building relationships and working through resistance.
We focus on the importance of the supervisory relationship, developing a good working alliance with your supervisees and becoming more reflective and grounded in understanding risk and assessment. This course will align you with the BACP competence framework for supervision.
Upon completion of the course, if you are a BACP accredited therapist, you can apply to be listed on the BACP directory of supervisors.

Completing the TAC course has been a really positive experience. It deepened my understanding of both theory and practice, and encouraged meaningful self‑reflection. The balance between learning, discussion, and practical application was excellent. The supportive and excellent learning environment made it easy to engage and ask questions. I feel this course has had a direct and beneficial impact on my clinical supervision and therapy work. The remote nature of the training made it possible for me to attend while working fulltime too.
I’d not hesitate to recommend it based on my experience.
