Luli Harvey offers psychosexual and relationship counselling in Brixton, South West London, working with both individuals and couples on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period.
She started her practice as a counsellor 8 years ago in HMP Brixton, followed by work in GP surgery in Clapham, a private health clinic, and Kings College Hospital. She is a trained counsellor who has undertaken an additional 2-year training in psychosexual and relationship therapy.
Her approach is to explore with the client aspects of their lives in terms of family background, previous experiences, culture, health, sexual history, and current environment and relationships. She enables clients to work at their own pace, however she will ask questions and invite them to do tasks to be completed in their own time.
Her aim is to help clients to make sense of their personal history, feel and name the feelings that their history evokes, identify the kind of relationships they want, and explore ways of changing those aspects of their sexual and relationship lives that they want to be different. She provides a safe, supportive, and confidential therapeutic context for the work.
She is experienced in helping individuals and couples who have had difficulties with:
- Interpersonal Communication
- Sexual problems, abuse, relationships, and sexual identity
- Panic attacks
- Stress and anxiety
- Loss, separation and bereavement
- Redundancy

Paola trained at the School of Psychotherapy and Counselling, Regent’s College, London. She holds a Masters Degree in Counselling & Psychotherapy and an Advanced Diploma in Existential Psychotherapy (ADEP).
She is also a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist and general member of COSRT and works with individuals and couples. She trained in CBT ( Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) which she implements as part of her Existential orientation.
Paola is originally from Italy and has lived in the UK for the best part of 30 years. She can provide Psychotherapy in both English and Italian.
Coming from a business background and, together with her life experience and clinical practice, she is very much aware and sympathetic with the fast pace of contemporary life and all the consequent anxiety, fatigue and, at times, loss of direction that can be the result of a high profile career and demanding business activity.
She practices Existential Psychotherapy in order to facilitate her clients’ growth, development and change, during young, middle and later stages of life. She believes that opportunities are plentiful and that therapy can help identify them and find pathways to improve the quality of one’s life.
It is no coincidence that the subject of her dissertation was “The Age of Opportunities?” - a study of the transition into mid-life.
She approaches her clients with respect and care and she draws from her personal experience in order to assess and set realistic goals.
She has acquired extensive knowledge about different existential dilemmas and issues and she approaches each client in a committed and personal way.
She can listen and relate to clients in a non-judgmental and non- directive way, believing that the best therapy lies in a trustworthy and open relationship between client and therapist and that they always relate to each other as two human being who share the experience of being part of society and the world.

Beverley is a psychotherapist and counsellor of several years experience, specialising in relationship and psychosexual issues, located close to Earls Court tube station.
She endeavours to offer couples and individuals a non-judgemental, supportive, safe, containing environment which will allow them to explore, clarify and challenge their way of ‘being in the world’ to encourage self-awareness, self responsibility and the development of increased self-efficacy and harmony.
Her way of working is an integration of several different approaches. These include Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, or ACT, (a branch of cognitive-behavioural therapy) which is a mindfulness-based therapy, shown to be effective with a diverse range of clinical conditions in short-term work. The goal of ACT is to create a rich and meaningful life, while accepting the discomforts that are inevitably part of it.
She also incorporates person-centred and existential concepts and practices, but of supreme importance in her work is the ability to meet and relate to clients in an in-depth way which involves being real and genuine, making the implicit explicit, thus increasing the possibility of deeper connection. Such a relationally deep encounter may be a crucial element in helping clients overcome their difficulties in therapy.
She offers both short-term or longer term therapy, with individuals and couples and is open to working with sexual minorities.
