There are a lot of misconceptions around counselling, and we’re here to help explain some of them. For example, did you know you don’t need to be referred by your GP to a counsellor? You can simply book yourself in for counselling sessions.
Here at The Awareness Centre, one of the largest therapeutic centres in South London, we believe that counselling services should be available to everyone. This has led us to introducing a Low Cost Counselling Service, available during the day, evening and weekends – the cost of a session is only between £30-£45. We are also proud of our Counselling Contribution Service at just £10 per session. Our Counselling Contribution Service is open to clients who are receiving benefits, income support, or who are students and pensioners.
You can refer yourself and not depend on being referred by your GP, or another professional, and we have no waiting lists.

It’s easy to make an appointment to see one of our therapists, all you need to do is contact Ruth Nightingale, our Counselling Coordinator on 020 8673 4545 or via email; counselling@theawarenesscentre.com
